ONE GENERATION SHALL COMMEND
YOUR WORKS TO ANOTHER, AND
SHALL DECLARE YOUR MIGHTY ACTS.

PSALM 145:4

Building Our Future

Sunday 18th June, 2017

Since the inception of Nations Church, we have  dedicated one Sunday every year to “Building Our Future “. It is the time of the year that we put our convictions into sacrificial action and collectively sow financially into the future of our church.

Whether you’ve been with us for years, or have just recently joined the family, we want to invite you to come with us on the journey to continue in Building Our Future.  Building Our Future this year will be on 18th June at all campuses in Perth and Phnom Penh. We ask that you would prayerfully consider what your financial contribution will be in 2017… so that the generations to come can be the beneficiaries of our sacrificial giving today.

LEAVE A

LEGACY THAT

OUTLIVES YOU

When we reflect upon an essential nature of God, He is one who desires that we live as He lives… to see our lives, our purpose and our destinies as being interlinked with the past, present and future. He is indeed a generational God. We are His church and therefore we are also about the generations. Since the inception of Nations Church, Building Our Future is the time of the year that we put our convictions into sacrificial action, that we would see our lives, our money and our efforts as more than of momentary gain but generational impact… this is, at its core, the heart of Christ for our church.

Before Nations Church even had its first gathering, a small group of people gave to an offering sacrificially. The original givers and those every year since, had no idea what their sowing would become… the Nations Church of today. It is a principle of sowing that the harvest is always a multiplication of the seed, that what we yield is always of exponentially greater weight and value than what we have sown. And so it continues… that we cannot suppose nor presume what our giving today will become in the future but one thing is certain, in God’s way their is always more. With our continued conviction to be a generational church, we can be confident that our best days are still to come.

Whether you’ve been with us for years, or have just recently joined the family, we want to invite you to come with us on the journey to continue in Building Our Future. We ask that you would prayerfully consider what your financial contribution will be in 2017… so that the generations to come can be the beneficiaries of our sacrificial giving today.

I’M SO THANKFUL

FOR ALL THAT

If it wasn’t for Nations Church High Schools Outreach Ministry I would not be a disciple of Jesus Christ today. Nations Youth Leadership team used to visit Somerville Baptist College, my high school, and they made an effort to sit and chat or run events for our school. It was through this outreach ministry that I started to join Nations Youth on a Friday. The program was entertaining, electric and innovative, and this is what kept me coming back long enough for God to transform me from the inside out!

I’m so thankful to those in our Nations family, who believe in the church’s future and give sacrificially on behalf of people like me, who would never have known the gospel without their sacrifice. I’m so thankful that the people of Nations Church have shown me and modelled to me that when we put God first with our finances, we make room for miracles to happen in our own life and the life of our church.

Now it’s not my future I’m planning for but its ‘Our Future’ as a church family, including those yet to come. Now ‘I’ get to be a part of Building Our Future. Now I get to be on the frontline of what God is building in not only Perth but also in Cambodia! It’s through our sacrificial giving that God’s plan can continue to unravel in the lives of others.

In many ways my journey with Nations Church was like a seed, among other seeds being sown into the great unknown. This journey began in 2003 when my family uprooted from a great church, Life City Church. On a cold morning in April 2004, with loving anticipation and much prayer, the congregation of fifty, heard Ps Ken deliver his first sermon. It felt like God had revealed a deep secret and we were really onto something, and yet we could have never imagined what it would become.

Many things have happened since then and we are still on this truly amazing journey. A God centred church that is generationally minded doesn’t grow on trees. It takes people with their ears on God’s heartbeat to lay the foundations and culture.

Through the years, my family has also grown spiritual branches. We have a Connect Group that is like our spiritual family. My wfe Dorcas serves in the prayer team that intercedes for the needs of others. My daughter Donna serves in the worship team that leads us into the presence of God every Sunday, and Janelle who is ten years old, will eventually serve as well. New seasons bring new leaves and new fruits. There is joy in my heart.
